TIPS FOR TANNERS

  1. Shower and exfoliate your entire body before your session.  It is best to shave the night before the tanning session. Do not apply makeup, lotions, creams, or other products to the skin until after your tan has "cured". These products can be a barrier which prevents the spray from contacting the skin.  You may apply deodorant after about an hour.
  2. Wear dark, loose fitting clothing.  The solution washes out of most clothing, except for nylon and synthetics.  If clothing is too tight, it will rub the skin and possibly streak the color.
  3. Wear either clear coat or polish on fingernails and toe nails. Acrylics will be fine, balms can be used on lips.
  4. Wait at least 6 hours after the tanning session before showering.  You need to allow time for the bronzing reaction to take place (the longer the better).
  5. Don't forget to moisturize after showering.

SPRAY TANNING FACTS

Don't worry, the first time you shower you will see color washing off.  This is the cosmetic bronzer and is completely normal.

SUNSCREEN SHOULD STILL BE APPLIED IF YOU PLAN ON SPENDING TIME IN THE SUN. SPRAY TAN HAS NO SPF.

TIPS FOR A LONGER-LASTING TAN AND PLEASANT SUNLESS EXPERIENCE:

DON'T:  Sit directly on the leather seats or light-colored furniture immediately after your tanning session, especially if perspiring or in humid climates.

DON'T:  Take long hot baths or swim in a pool.  This can accelerate exfoliation and speed up the fading of your tan.

DON'T:  Exercise until you've showered.

DON'T: Use lotions with Alpha Hydroxy Acids/Retinal ETC>

Be aware that they will increase exfoliation and fading if they are used.
